• Do NOT use in a cantilever situation
• NOT recommended for Bush Fire Zones
• Klevaklip FREP Joist Hanger softening point 180°C and melting point is 200°C
• Do NOT use nail guns on FREP joist hangers
• Use ONLY 35mm Long x 3.15Ø galvanised connector nails or stainless steel equivalents.

Q 4. How many fixings are required to connect Klevaklip FREP Joist Hanger to my bearer?

Klevaklip Joist Hangers require the use of connector nails in ALL Holes provided in both size options when connecting to the bearer.

• 90x45mm – NJH9045 requires 4 nails in each “wing” of the Joist Hanger ( A total of 8)
• 140x45mm – NJH14045 requires 6 nails in each “wing” of the Joist Hanger ( A total of 12)

Remember nail guns are NOT to be used with the Klevaklip FREP Joist Hangers

Q 5. How many fixings are required to connect Klevaklip FREP Joist Hanger to my joist?

Klevaklip Joist Hangers require the use of connector nails in ALL Holes provided in both size options when connecting to the joist.

• 90x45mm – NJH9045 requires 3 nails per side of each joist at each Joist Hanger ( A total of 6)
• 140x45mm – NJH14045 requires 5 nails on one side ad four on the other side of the Joist Hanger ( A total of 9)

Q 6. How long will my Klevaklip FREP Joist Hanger last?

Klevaklip FREP Joist Hangers are warranted to last fifteen (15) years, and will likely last much longer than this. However, it is good practice to inspect the underside of your deck at least once a year after the first ten (10) years the check all substructure components of your deck appear to be in adequate working condition.
